Waterford house prices climb steeply amid sustained strong demand

House prices in Waterford City rose sharply over the past year, according to the latest Real Estate Alliance Average House Price Index. The average cost of a second-hand three-bedroom semi-detached home in the city reached €345,000 in 2025, representing a 10.6 per cent increase from €312,000 at the end of 2024.

Tipperary Airlift rescue bring walkers to safety in the Galtees and Comeraghs

South East Mountain Rescue (SEMRA) responded to two separate call-outs over the weekend after walkers ran into difficulties in the Galtee and Comeragh mountain ranges. One of the incidents required the walkers to be airlifted by helicopter to safety.
